Demon Slayer Season 3 Has Been Kind of Mediocre
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
We’re currently nine episodes into Demon Slayer Season 3 and its been…
kind of mid to be honest with you.
Now before anyone gets upset this is just my opinion but I want to explain my reasoning for my statement.
I just want to preface this by saying that I’ve genuinely enjoyed almost everything from season one, the mugen train movie, & the entertainment district arc.
My problem with season 3 aka the swordsmith village arc is that it has failed to invoke barely any sort of emotion from me unlike previous seasons.
I think that Muichiro and Mitsuri are cool pillars and that the animation in this season has been top tier as usual.
If I’m being real though, I didn’t feel anything during Muichiro’s backstory and the upper moon he defeated didn’t even get a backstory like previous demons including those of which that weren’t upper or lower moons.
In my opinion, the swordsmith village arc hasn’t been up to the standards that it set previously.
Something I did like was Upper Moon 4 and his character design which has to be one of the most unique designs I’ve seen in general.
Overall though, I hope this season ends on a bang and can manage to change my opinion on it even a little.
If you want my opinion on Demon Slayer as a whole I think that it’s a good series but falls extremely short of being great or amazing like some people say it is.
Demon Slayer at its core is entertaining & an absolute treat for the eyes.
It’s a show where you can sit down, shut your brain off, and experience the pure talent that it takes to create art & animation on this level.
I also do think that there are many moments where Demon Slayer is carried by its animation, once again contrary to what many say.
As a manga reader however, I’m extremely excited for the final arc of the series to be animated also known as the Infinity Castle arc. It’s going to be the greatest Demon Slayer has ever been.
